Barcelona

Barcelona is the most versatile of shoot cities, offering all types of locations. Long sandy beaches and small rocky coves, cobbled streets and modern urban parks, snow capped mountains and desert plains… Barcelona really does have it all, and all of it within easy reach of the Catalan capital.

Within the city walls, Barcelona offers a unique mix of traditional and trendy, while the stunning Costa Brava beaches, Zaragoza’s dusty desert roads and the Pyrenees are just a short drive away. All this means that locations such as Miami, New York, the Wild West, Ibiza and many more worldwide destinations can be recreated with relative ease.

Unlike other European cities, Barcelona offers endless blue skies and sunshine. With an average temperature of 20°C it is one of the mildest climates in Europe and hot summer shoots can easily take place well into winter months. Surrounded by mountains, Barcelona has its own ecosystem, meaning fewer days of rainfall than most Spanish cities.

The former Olympic venue is primarily famous for its love of sport and its architecture. After hosting the 1992 Games, the city is now home to the most successful football club of the 21st century, Barça. The city’s dedication to sport is evident, with various sports arenas, outdoor workout areas and iconic Olympic stadia. Barcelona is also renowned for Gaudi’s distinctive architecture, with his unusual bright and colourful designs peppering the city. Seven of his works have been declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. Gaudi’s eclectic architecture adds to Barcelona’s unique feel, and has lead to constant artistic and cultural exhibitions being held within the city’s famous galleries and museums.

With flights to and from all major airports, Barcelona is a European hub and it’s vibrant and cosmopolitan feel means that once night falls, there will be plenty to keep you amused!
